U.S. Education Secretary to Serve as Panelist at NAACP Education Summit during Lunch of New Report, “Finding Our Way Back to First”

U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan will participate in a panel discussion at the NAACP’s Education Summit, when they will release their new report “Finding Our Way Back to First,” which identifies best practices for education all of America’s children, and provides recommendations for advancing equity and closing achievement gaps. Duncan will join leaders in education, business, and civil rights, including Benjamin Todd Jealous, president and CEO of the NAACP; Alma Powell, chair, America’s Promise Alliance; Jim Cicconi, senior executive vice president for external and legislative Affairs at AT&T; and Richard Riley, former U.S. Secretary of Education and South Carolina Governor.
The event will take place Thursday, Dec. 6 at the Renaissance, DuPont Circle Hotel in Washington, D.C.
